Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Deliver a wide range of respiratory therapy treatments to critically ill neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients as ordered by physicians and protocols.
Work with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and nurses, to adjust care plans and implement advanced airway and ventilatory support.
Perform intubations, manage airways, and provide life support during intra-hospital and inter-hospital patient transport.
Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, perform blood gas sampling and analysis, and participate in emergency response efforts.
Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations and families, ensuring compassionate delivery of care at all times.
