Applicants need a Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines and an NQF Level 4, alongside a track record of five years in underground mining using mechanised methods.
Two years of hands-on secondary support work plus strong communication in English are must-haves. Only those with a clean criminal record, valid SAPS-certified documents, and who pass a medical fitness test will progress.
