The CNC Programmer’s day revolves around developing, optimising and maintaining critical machining programs. You’ll routinely use tools like EdgeCam for programming and work across turning, milling, and grinding operations.
You’ll refine and test programs for a variety of control systems, such as Fanuc, Fagor, and Hurco, ensuring both product quality and efficiency. Supporting setup and resolving production challenges are also central duties.
Another key part of the role is creating and updating setup sheets, digital tool lists and machining documentation, which all boost team efficiency. Problem-solving is a regular part of your journey, reducing scrap and production delays.
