Inside the Role: What You’ll Do
This position involves the preparation and submission of income and provisional tax returns for a range of tax entities, including individuals, companies, and trusts.
Expect to interact with clients regularly, handle SARS communications, and resolve incoming tax queries promptly to meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities also include preparing objections, managing a tax portfolio, and submitting supporting documents to SARS, ensuring accurate compliance every step of the way.
You will perform tax calculations, such as capital gains tax, and process IT 3 T returns. Every day, your eye for detail is critical for accurate submissions.
The firm uses software such as Accfin, Xero, Caseware, and Excel, so you’ll need to be comfortable and quick to adapt to the digital workplace.
